Transformer power supplies

Transformer power supplies - Robust power supply for industrial applications

Safety, reliability and durability in a compact power supply unit

Transformer power supplies, also known as transformer power supply units, offer a reliable and durable solution for supplying electrical and electronic systems with a stable output voltage. In contrast to switching power supply units, they impress with their robust design, EMC resistance and high immunity to interference – especially in demanding industrial environments.

Rist Transformatorenbau GmbH develops and manufactures high-quality transformer-based power supply units – ideal for machine control systems, measurement and control technology, safety applications and control cabinet construction.

Our range of transformer power supply units

Our power supply units are developed individually according to customer specifications – in various designs, power classes and voltage ranges:

  • Single-phase and three-phase transformer power supplies up to 60 A

  • Compact power supply units for installation in control cabinets

  • Isolating power supply units according to EN 61558

  • UL-compliant power supply units for export (e.g. USA/Canada)

  • Adjustable output voltages (e.g. 24 V AC / 12 V AC / 48 V AC)

  • Versions with screw or plug-in terminals, optionally encapsulated

  • Ready to install with mounting bracket, clamping cover or housing

What customers should know about transformer power supplies

Transformer power supply units convert mains voltage into a safe output voltage via a transformer – usually in the form of AC voltage (e.g. 24 V AC). These devices are particularly suitable when an interference-free, robust power supply is required, for example in control systems, safety systems, reed contacts, solenoid valves or industrial lights.

In contrast to switching power supplies, which rely on clock frequencies and electronic regulation, transformer power supplies work with classic winding technology – which makes them EMC-resistant, load-stable and durable. Transformer power supply units are the better choice, particularly in systems where high interference immunity, durability or simple maintenance are paramount.

Thanks to optional galvanic isolation (e.g. through integrated isolating transformers), they also offer additional safety for man and machine. Combined with a mechanically robust design, they are the ideal solution for switch cabinet construction, building automation or the export of sensitive system components.

Our claim: Power supply units that you can rely on – even under the toughest conditions.
